What is the Bob Daniel Society?
As a founding member of Retina Australia WA (formerly the Western Australian Retinitis Pigmentosa Foundation) Bob Daniel had a profound impact, helping to build a successful foundation for our future. To honour this contribution we have named our Gift in Wills program the Bob Daniel Society.
The Bob Daniel Society recognises the generosity and future impact of those that intend to leave a Gift in their Will to Retina Austalia WA.
Making a Will is an important part of planning for the future. After you have provided for loved ones, you may then consider including Retina Australia (WA) as a beneficiary.
Many people may wish to leave a bequest to Retina Australia (WA) in their Will, and these contributions will contribute significantly to our search for treatments and a cure for inherited retinal dystrophies.
If you have already made a Will, perhaps you could consider asking your solicitor to add a codicil, which will incorporate your gift to Retina Australia (WA).
In order to help with arranging your bequest to Retina Australia (WA), here is a suggested form of words which could be used in your will:
I give to Retina Australia (WA) the sum of $… free of all duties and taxes payable upon or in consequence of my death and I declare that the receipt of its Treasurer or other authorised officer shall be sufficient discharge to my executors.
